Job Description
Licensing & Carrier Access Operations Specialist supporting insurance retail operations remotely in Pacific Time Zone. Responsible for licensing processes, compliance, and internal communication with teams and partners.
Responsibilities:
- Review, process, and submit contracting and appointment paperwork for new hires, franchisees, and agents
- Partner directly with carriers and state Departments of Insurance to secure licensing, appointments, access, and state affiliations
- Ensure accurate hierarchy setup and correct commission structure alignment
- Maintain accurate and organized licensing and appointment records
- Communicate clearly with internal teams, leadership, and partners regarding licensing and contracting status
- Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates when needed
- Assist with hierarchy and commission audits
- Conduct background checks when required for licensing related items
- Support special projects as assigned
- Build, document, refine, and streamline licensing and contracting processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability as we grow
Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years direct experience working with insurance carriers and/or state regulatory agencies in licensing, contracting, appointments, carrier access, or state affiliations
- Demonstrated ability to design, improve, and streamline operational processes
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements and carrier standards
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Positive, collaborative, and proactive mindset
- Ability to work independently while staying organized
- Must be located in the Pacific Time Zone
