Job Description
DePuy Synthes manager designing spine device training and hands-on education programs. Advancing field sales readiness, clinical adoption, and enabling-technology launches across the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and execution of global education and training programs aligned with commercial and product strategies
- Collaborate with Commercial Education, Professional Education, US Sales, Regional Marketing, and cross-functional leaders to execute training plans
- Accelerate field sales readiness in spine anatomy, procedures, clinical concepts, products, enabling technologies, business practices, and selling skills
- Assess learner competency, maintain training records, and provide readiness sign-off/certification
- Deliver hands-on Core and Enabling Technology training in clinical and non-clinical settings, including intra-operative support and lab-based experiences
- Create personalized learning pathways supporting adoption of the DePuy Synthes Spine Core portfolio and Enabling Technologies
- Tailor hands-on training events with Professional Education and HCP faculty
- Oversee training-event logistics, equipment readiness, venue requirements, and inventory planning
- Lead on-site preparation and execution of training events
- Continuously improve training content and educational materials using real-world clinical use cases
- Incorporate procedural standards and best practices into training materials with R&D, Marketing, and Franchise Medical Directors
- Coach sales teams on clinical positioning and portfolio application
- Manage reusable and single-use training instrument and technology inventory
- Support international market portfolio and technology launches with global team members
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required (e.g., Business, Life Sciences, Education, or related discipline)
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in the Spine Medical Device industry, with expertise in Sales, Education, Marketing, or a combination of these functions
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience supporting Spine Enabling Technologies, including Navigation, Robotics, and/or Augmented Reality (AR), within the operating room environment
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering training programs and managing end-to-end learning initiatives
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to translate business and customer needs into impactful education strategies
- Experience working with global teams and diverse audiences
- Analytical mindset with experience using KPIs to measure program effectiveness
- Field-based position may be performed remotely from any location within the United States, provided the candidate resides near a major airport
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
- English required; additional languages preferred
- Valid driver’s license required (if applicable)
- Travel: 40–60 percent, domestic and international
- Preferred: experience in spine, orthopedics, or medical device portfolios
- Preferred: familiarity with clinical environments and surgeon education
- Preferred: digital learning platforms and advanced instructional design methods
- Preferred: global education program management
- Preferred: project management across complex, cross-functional initiatives
- Preferred: commercial or product launch support
- Preferred: medical education or healthcare training background
