Job Description
Outside Sales Representative driving territory growth for S&S Activewear, a North American apparel distributor. Building customer relationships, acquiring business, and expanding sales through field engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Drive territory P&L performance through strategic management of customer volume, sales, and profitability metrics
- Execute systematic in-person account engagement, including call planning, analysis, presentations, and follow-through
- Cultivate relationships across customer organizations and conduct strategic one-on-one meetings to uncover growth opportunities
- Establish partnerships with customer finance, marketing, operations, and production stakeholders
- Collaborate with the assigned S&S Account Manager to optimize customer service, sales opportunities, and engagement frequency
- Master customers’ go-to-market strategies, program management, merchandising schedules, and renewal processes
- Lead new product launches, internal initiatives, and strategic sales planning
- Use merchandising expertise to highlight S&S Activewear’s competitive advantages and drive upsell opportunities
- Coordinate cross-functional resources including trade marketing, decoration services, EDI, pricing, and custom solutions
- Maintain reporting, calendar organization, sales funnel tracking, and program administration
- Manage showroom and collateral presentation
- Represent S&S Activewear at trade shows, events, and customer functions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of field sales experience
- Promotional products and apparel industry experience highly valued
- Superior verbal and written communication abilities
- Exceptional multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills
- Ability to execute complex initiatives independently
- Meticulous attention to detail and superior organizational abilities
- Results-driven approach and commitment to excellence
- Advanced problem-solving capabilities
- Expertise in consultative sales methodologies, including SPIN selling techniques
- Strong merchandising acumen
- Polished presentation skills
- Technical proficiency demonstrating digital tools and web-based solutions
- Strong analytical and financial acumen
- Strategic planning and documentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related business applications
- Personal vehicle required for work-related travel
- Ability to travel up to 50% throughout the assigned territory
- Authorization to work in the U.S.; employment is subject to satisfactory background check
