Job Description
Contracts Manager overseeing clinical-trial agreements for ICON, a global healthcare intelligence and research organisation. Negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance, and supporting project teams.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee contract management workstreams, ensuring deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations
- Manage the end-to-end contracts process, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and project management departments to align contract terms and conditions
- Provide guidance and support to project teams on contract-related matters, including contract interpretation and dispute resolution
- Monitor contract performance and compliance throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of contract activities in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Develop the contracts management team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, communications, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in contracts management, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or clinical research industry
- Strong knowledge of contract law, legal principles, and regulatory requirements relevant to clinical trials
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of managing multiple contracts and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel as required (approximately 10%)
- Legal right to work in the country where the role is based
