Job Description
Sales Account Manager responsible for driving sales and managing customer relationships at Smithfield Foods. Collaborating with internal teams to achieve business results in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Introduce and place new products with customers
- Execute business initiatives
- Drive sales for long-term growth
- Maintain customer relationships with daily communications on pricing, product availability, and order management
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Business Management and Plant Operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of the dynamics of the food business industry or retail channels
- Experience of customer-focused and fact-based selling, including IRI, Nielsen and Perishable Group data
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational planning and adaptability
- Respectful, approachable, and team-oriented
- Valid driver’s license
- May travel up to 80% of the time
