Job Description

Business Development Manager driving LSI Industries’ sports-lighting growth across West Coast markets. Prospecting customers, managing lighting-agent accounts, forecasting pipelines, and closing projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify, engage, and qualify new sales opportunities within Country Clubs, Pickleball Franchisors, Municipal Parks & Recreational Fields, K-12 Schools, and Higher Education
  • Execute targeted email campaigns and cold calling to introduce LSI’s sports lighting solutions to facility owners and decision-makers
  • Serve as the primary LSI Sports Lighting liaison for assigned independent lighting agents in the West Coast territory
  • Track, support, and drive open sports lighting projects to successful close with agency partners and LSI Regional Sales Managers
  • Obtain monthly Quote Status Updates for active Sports Lighting projects valued at $25,000 or more
  • Maintain a weekly rolling 30/60/90-day sales forecast
  • Log daily prospecting activities, lead qualification details, agent interactions, and project status updates in the corporate CRM

Requirements:

  • Experience or highly demonstrable aptitude generating new business leads through cold outreach and social selling
  • High comfort with rejection, persistence, and self-start mentality
  • Experience managing indirect sales channels such as manufacturing agents or distributors
  • Experience moving multi-phase construction/electrical projects through a sales pipeline to closing
  • Strong organization and experience forecasting monthly/quarterly revenue targets
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn technical sports-lighting specifications and communicate ROI, performance, and safety benefits to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms for pipeline hygiene and data management
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent successful experience in industrial B2B sales, lighting, electrical, or commercial construction markets
