Job Description

Navy business development director growing Peraton’s national security and enterprise IT solutions. Winning contracts, shaping acquisition strategies, and expanding Navy/USMC customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and leverage resources to create, identify, develop, and qualify opportunities
  • Achieve growth goals by winning new business, securing contract recompetes, and driving organic program growth
  • Develop and maintain an active opportunity pipeline aligned with corporate strategy and goals
  • Serve as the primary interface with the customer community and build internal and external customer relationships
  • Develop and execute strategies to shape requirements and acquisition strategies
  • Identify and target new business markets, adjacencies, and partnerships
  • Guide potential customers by demonstrating technology solutions, architectures, capabilities, and acquisition paths for early-stage opportunities
  • Work with internal technical and program management teams to develop RFIs, market surveys, white papers, presentations, briefings, and major event demonstrations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 18+ years of experience
  • 12–15 years of related work experience, with the majority in business development, marketing, or technical and engineering solutions in the Navy/USMC space
  • Equivalent experience in government or GS analyst roles may be considered in lieu of direct BD experience for early career years
  • Successful record of supporting and winning contracts with Navy/USMC customers
  • Demonstrated track record of successful pursuits in excess of $500M
  • Experience building relationships with strategic teaming partners (prime and sub)
  • Ability to develop and mature key relationships within customer organizations
  • Ability to operate independently while retaining an enterprise focus
  • Understanding of customer needs to align Peraton’s capabilities and core values
  • Ability to structure key partnerships and alliances and establish and grow new relationships
  • High energy, integrity, strong business acumen, professionalism, and commitment
  • Highly effective communication with all company and customer levels, including senior executives and General/Flag Officers
  • Experience with the rules, regulations, and idiosyncrasies of the Federal Government technology capture process
  • US citizenship required
  • Active Top Secret security clearance required; Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility preferred
  • Prior military service in the Navy or Marine Corps preferred
