Job Description
Senior HR lifecycle specialist managing compliant employee exits and employee relations for Remote’s global employment platform. Advising clients across international jurisdictions and improving automated HR operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions.
- Advise clients on termination, resignation, transfer, employment contract, and redundancy procedures.
- Lead workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, separation and settlement negotiations, and termination outcome meetings.
- Influence and negotiate positive outcomes in complex terminations while balancing competing stakeholder interests.
- Coordinate with payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, trade unions, and other stakeholders to ensure compliant offboarding and audits.
- Draft, tailor, and administer termination and supplementary documents while maintaining confidential employee records.
- Process offboarding in Remote’s internal HRIS platform with Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Time and Attendance teams.
- Serve as subject-matter expert for offboarding queries.
- Guide clients through Employee Relations resources, policies, and processes.
- Conduct preliminary assessments of workplace concerns and identify applicable local regulations.
- Coordinate employee relations matters and monitor cases for timely follow-up.
- Support clients with progressive disciplinary approaches and documentation requirements.
- Contribute to process improvements, automation, product development, and customer and employee experience initiatives.
Requirements:
- Experience as a HR Advisor or HR Business Partner, with generalist HR competencies and exposure across the employee lifecycle.
- Proven experience managing voluntary and involuntary exits (terminations) with care, sensitivity and legal compliance.
- Experience providing comprehensive HR support and guidance on employment laws and regulations across various jurisdictions.
- Ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments, analyze complex HR issues, undertake research, and provide practical solutions.
- Basic understanding of employee relations principles, progressive discipline approaches, and workplace investigation fundamentals.
- Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
- Business-level (advanced) proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
- Aptitude for process innovation, optimization, automation, and best practices.
- Efficiency in operations, thorough record-keeping, and data integrity.
- Tech-savvy and able to collaborate asynchronously using various tools and adapt to evolving systems.
- Ability to work autonomously and cohesively in an international, fast-paced, asynchronous, remote environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
- Proactive and self-motivated with ownership and accountability.
- Strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency.
