Job Description

Human Resources Administrator maintaining HR records, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and payroll support. Supporting team members at a fully remote energy efficiency firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate HR records, team member files, and documentation in BambooHR and other HR systems
  • Support recruiting activities, including applicant sourcing, interview coordination, candidate communication, and applicant tracking updates
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding, including document collection, task tracking, system updates, and coordination with team members and managers
  • Respond to routine team member questions and route complex questions to the appropriate HR team member
  • Support benefits administration through enrollment documentation, team member questions, records updates, and follow-up
  • Assist with payroll-related administrative tasks for the semi-monthly payroll process
  • Coordinate team member recognition gifts and HR programs, including anniversaries and Get Out and Play recognition
  • Maintain and update HR documents, including personnel change notices and other administrative documents
  • Assist with HR reporting and special projects
  • Provide dependable, detail-oriented support across core people processes
  • Support day-to-day HR operations in a confidential and responsive manner

Requirements:

  • Minimum of four years of progressively responsible administrative, office support, human resources, or operations support experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to workload changes
  • Ability to respond quickly to short-notice requests
  • Ability to take ownership of assigned work and follow through on expectations
  • Ability to ask thoughtful questions when clarification is needed
  • Comfort working independently in a virtual environment while staying available, responsive, and connected to the team
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Adobe Acrobat experience is helpful
  • Ability to use HR systems, databases, spreadsheets, and tracking tools for accurate data entry, reporting, and recordkeeping
  • Proficiency in general office equipment and basic math
  • Experience supporting multiple business functions while maintaining organization, accuracy, and responsiveness
  • Experience with HRIS platforms, applicant tracking systems, benefits administration, onboarding, records management, or other HR support functions preferred but not required
  • Previous virtual-environment experience helpful but not required
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Must complete a pre-employment background check
  • Solid internet connection
  • Dedicated and fully equipped home office for public or client-facing virtual on-screen meetings
  • Reliable phone
  • Some evening and early morning meetings and events may occasionally be necessary
  • Must be located in Portland, Oregon
