Job Description

Territory Manager selling Cencora’s MWI Animal Health products and equipment to veterinarians. Managing sales calls, customer relationships, territory goals, and animal-health solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales of products and equipment to existing veterinarians and new customers within an assigned sales territory
  • Plan and make sales calls
  • Select products and programs that motivate customers to buy
  • Call on target, current, and prospective customers to generate sales, improve market share, and increase income
  • Use the computer as a sales aid and utilize MWI e-mail, Outlook promotions, and the MWI Territory Manager website
  • Understand veterinarian and clinic needs and select products and services to satisfy them
  • Establish relationships with veterinarians and clinics
  • Review sales analysis and top supplier reports for pre- and post-call planning
  • Prepare and maintain a written call cycle and share information with the ISR and Regional Manager
  • Stay current on MWI products and services, sales programs, promotions, and products
  • Establish customer account profiles within the territory
  • Respond to customers, MWI team members, and manufacturer representatives
  • Detail and demonstrate new products and promotions
  • Submit reporting in a timely manner
  • Meet territory and manufacturer sales goals and budget numbers
  • Advise customers on inventory management, equipment, and products
  • Serve as the point person for customer dealings and coordinate issue resolution with MWI inside personnel
  • Maintain the vehicle and adequate support materials in the automobile
  • Work with key vendors and Product Specialists
  • Participate in conference calls and meetings as requested

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of experience and education is required
  • One to three years of relevant industry or sales experience, preferably in animal health, is desired
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to sell
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record are mandatory
  • Effective individual and group communication skills
  • Customer-oriented approach and ability to establish effective customer relationships
  • Knowledge of company objectives and organizational structure
  • Knowledge of customers, competitors, and the market territory
  • Ability to build quality customer service
  • Knowledge and proficiency in explaining, selling, and administering products
  • Technological expertise relevant to the industry and company
  • Ability to use computers, MWI e-mail, MWI promotions in Outlook, and the MWI Territory Manager website
