Job Description
Account Director overseeing client partnerships and agency strategy at Prospekt, a brand and culture marketing agency. Ensuring business growth, strategic direction, and creative integrity for tier-one clients.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary strategic partner and escalation point for tier-one clients, building deep, resilient relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Understand the client’s business model, revenue goals, and internal politics better than they do, using that knowledge to proactively pitch new solutions.
- Transform transactional project work into long-term, high-value agency retainers.
- Partner with the Strategy and Creative teams to ensure every campaign, pitch, and deliverable maps perfectly back to the client’s overarching business objectives.
- Guide the narrative during major client presentations, selling in ambitious, culture-forward work with confidence.
- Own the P&L for your portfolio of accounts, ensuring hitting or exceeding revenue and margin targets.
- Draft, negotiate, and finalize complex Statements of Work (SOWs), Master Services Agreements (MSAs), and project scopes alongside the production team.
- Monitor account burn rates and resource allocation, stepping in to pivot strategies before a project becomes unprofitable.
- Protect the creative. You know how to push back on client feedback gracefully and defend the agency’s strategic recommendations.
- Mentor and oversee Account Managers, guiding them on day-to-day client communication and upskilling their commercial instincts.
- Partner seamlessly with Production and Project Management to ensure timelines and budgets are respected by the client.
Requirements:
- 6–8+ years of account management or client services experience within a creative, experiential, or brand marketing agency.
- Brand marketing agency and/or experiential agency experience is required .
- A proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar portfolios and consistently growing account revenue year-over-year.
- Experience managing senior-level client relationships (VP, CMO, Founder level).
- Deep fluency in digital ecosystems, integrated campaigns, and modern brand design.
- Experience working with brands in sports, entertainment, tech, or lifestyle is highly preferred.
- Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and written communication skills.
