Job Description

Account Executive driving enterprise software revenue for Splunk, Cisco’s security and observability platform. Building pipelines, expanding executive relationships, and closing complex enterprise deals.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue growth by calling on large enterprise accounts
  • Establish a vision and long-term plan for pipeline generation
  • Deliver license, support, and service revenue targets
  • Land, adopt, expand, and deepen sales opportunities
  • Explore relationships and business possibilities across clients’ entire organizational structures
  • Become a thought leader in machine learning and predictive analytics
  • Expand relationships and orchestrate complex deals across diverse stakeholders
  • Use channel resources to identify and open new opportunities
  • Collaborate as a team to efficiently deploy resources
  • Provide timely and informative input to other corporate functions

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of direct sales experience selling enterprise software to large enterprises
  • Excellent leadership and influencing skills
  • Ability to build strong business partnerships outside and within the organization
  • Business planning skills
  • Ability to measure and communicate progress toward plans, identify roadblocks, and develop solutions
  • Ability to adapt in fast-growing and changing environments
  • Relevant software experience in IT systems, enterprise or infrastructure management, application development and management, DevOps, security, business applications, and/or analytics preferred
  • Subscription, SaaS, or cloud software experience preferred
  • Track record of new business development and exceeding sales targets preferred
  • Strong executive presence and polish, and excellent listening skills preferred
  • Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques preferred
  • Knowledge of Force Management, MEDDPICC, and Challenger methodologies is a plus
