Job Description

Field-based Account Manager promoting Johnson & Johnson immunology pharmaceuticals to healthcare professionals across South West England. Managing strategic accounts, relationships, product presentations, and sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic account plans for targeted customers in the Dermatology & Rheumatology sector
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives for assigned accounts
  • Conduct product presentations and therapeutic area discussions for healthcare providers
  • Collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams to implement cohesive strategies
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities
  • Provide customer service and support to healthcare professionals handling product inquiries
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, customer interaction, and performance records in the CRM system
  • Report to the Regional Business Manager
  • Work closely with Account Manager colleagues, Customer Pathway Managers, Medical Science Liaisons, Marketing, and Healthcare Compliance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Life Sciences, NHS, Pharmacy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Proven experience in IBD preferred
  • ABPI qualification is not a prerequisite; support will be given to achieve this qualification in role
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including regulations, compliance, and market dynamics
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and engage collaborators
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet client needs and attend industry events
  • Consistent record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments
  • Previous pharmaceutical experience is not a prerequisite
