Job Description
Field-based Account Manager promoting Johnson & Johnson immunology pharmaceuticals to healthcare professionals across South West England. Managing strategic accounts, relationships, product presentations, and sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic account plans for targeted customers in the Dermatology & Rheumatology sector
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives for assigned accounts
- Conduct product presentations and therapeutic area discussions for healthcare providers
- Collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams to implement cohesive strategies
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities
- Provide customer service and support to healthcare professionals handling product inquiries
- Maintain accurate sales activity, customer interaction, and performance records in the CRM system
- Report to the Regional Business Manager
- Work closely with Account Manager colleagues, Customer Pathway Managers, Medical Science Liaisons, Marketing, and Healthcare Compliance
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Life Sciences, NHS, Pharmacy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Proven experience in IBD preferred
- ABPI qualification is not a prerequisite; support will be given to achieve this qualification in role
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including regulations, compliance, and market dynamics
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence and engage collaborators
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet client needs and attend industry events
- Consistent record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments
- Previous pharmaceutical experience is not a prerequisite
