Job Description
Account Manager growing Georgia-Pacific’s corrugated packaging business across the Piedmont region. Building new-business pipelines and customer partnerships through territory-based B2B sales.
Responsibilities:
- Build a sales pipeline through cold calling, prospecting, and networking
- Develop and execute sales strategies to identify, pursue, and close new business
- Build customer relationships by understanding business objectives and delivering value-creating solutions
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences and successful project execution
- Understand customer buying processes and decision-making dynamics
- Analyze market conditions, competitive activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities
- Demonstrate ownership and follow-through on commitments and customer expectations
- Monitor industry trends and share insights supporting customer and business success
- Grow Georgia-Pacific's corrugated packaging business throughout the Piedmont region
Requirements:
- Outside sales experience, preferably in packaging, industrial, manufacturing, or related B2B sales
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout the territory, up to 75%
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Must reside within or near the assigned sales territory
- Experience selling corrugated packaging products preferred
- Experience in packaging-related industries, including flexible films, tapes, adhesives, industrial packaging, converting, automation, or packaging machinery preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field preferred
