Job Description
Area Manager leading Evri’s East-region final-mile delivery operations across logistics and distribution. Driving transformation, performance, compliance, customer experience, P&L, and people leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic direction and operational performance of the area, delivering business objectives and driving continuous improvement
- Own area performance across cost, service, quality, customer satisfaction, and compliance metrics
- Manage and develop Area Operations Managers, Senior Planners, Regional Managers, and Community Delivery Managers
- Ensure effective planning, resource coverage, and operational optimisation across the network
- Analyse performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and corrective actions
- Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and high performance
- Maintain strong relationships with support functions, finance, HR, operational development teams, and union representatives
- Manage area P&L responsibility, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs
- Provide strategic leadership across the East region, covering Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield, Nottingham, and Coventry
- Maintain legal compliance and deliver sustainable operational success across employed and self-employed delivery models
Requirements:
- Proven senior operational leadership experience within a complex logistics, distribution, or delivery environment
- Experience managing large budgets and operational performance
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Experience working with unionised environments and mixed employed/self-employed workforce models
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams
- Full UK Driving Licence
