Job Description
Freelance translator performing MTPE and proofreading for TransPerfect’s Chinese-to-Thai, Indonesian, or Malay automotive content. Reviewing technical materials and ensuring terminology, formatting, and QA accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Perform machine translation post-editing to improve accuracy, fluency, consistency, and terminology/style-guide compliance
- Perform proofreading and review final QA checks for language, terminology, formatting, numbers/units, and delivery readiness
- Work in CAT tools and follow project QA workflows
- Translate and review automotive and technical materials, including product/feature content, technical documents/manual excerpts, after-sales/service information, and training content
- Support long-term freelance collaboration and urgent requests when needed
Requirements:
- Native-level Thai/Indonesian/Malay preferred
- Technical localization experience required
- Automotive localization experience is a plus
- Strong communication
- Reliable turnaround
- Ability to support urgent requests when needed
- Linguistic test required (TR / MTPE / PR)
- Experience with CAT tools such as Trados, memoQ, or Smartcat
- Must provide CV and relevant experience
- Must provide CAT tools used and availability/time zone
