Job Description
Building customer base and increasing sales for HD Supply through new lead identification. Collaborating with account managers and documenting interactions in Salesforce as a Business Development Representative.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for building a customer base and increasing sales for the company by finding new leads for account managers.
- Identifies opportunities for attracting customers, selling products, and retaining relationships with clients.
- Analyzes potential growth opportunities within the business.
- Identifies, pursues, and acquires profitable business relationships with prospective customers.
- Serves as the first contact point with prospective customers to generate interest.
- Prospects for new customers through phone calls, emails, and on-site visits.
- Analyzes new business opportunities through market research.
- Develops marketing initiatives.
- Develops leads, conducts pre-proposal visitations, and assists with proposal preparations.
- Works with account managers to ensure qualified leads are converted to customers by providing timely and accurate information regarding company offerings.
- Develops, executes, and evaluates new plans for increasing sales.
- Documents all customer information and interactions in Salesforce.
- Attends conferences and trade shows to identify new business opportunities and increase brand exposure.
Requirements:
- Proven ability to prospect, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through outreach.
- Strong ability to engage prospects early and build interest in solution-based offerings.
- Comfortable owning the sales process from initial contact through agreement , with strong follow-up and accountability.
- Ability to identify ideal customer profiles and target opportunities aligned to business growth goals.
- Highly organized with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail when managing multiple leads.
- Experience collaborating with sales partners and transitioning qualified opportunities to account or project teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey value and build relationships.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and maintaining accurate pipeline activity and documentation.
- Exposure to inventory management, supply chain, or operational solutions is a plus.
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
- Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.
