Job Description
Business Process & Quality Specialist optimizing operational efficiency and ensuring quality standards for Sandvik Mining. Analyzing, designing, and implementing business processes in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analyses of existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Design and document optimized processes, workflows, and procedures in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and procedures.
- Monitor process adherence and performance against established quality standards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Lead and support continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant frameworks.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to foster a culture of quality and efficiency.
- Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including process maps, work instructions, and quality manuals.
- Generate regular reports on process performance, quality metrics, and improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with various departments, including operations, IT, and product development, to understand their needs, gather requirements, and ensure successful process implementation and adoption.
- Ensure all processes and quality systems comply with relevant internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide training and support to employees on new or updated processes and quality procedures to ensure smooth transitions and effective execution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business process analysis, quality management, or continuous improvement roles, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification highly desirable), or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart), data analysis software (e.g., Excel, Minitab), and general office productivity suites.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is highly advantageous.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
