Job Description
Humana healthcare executive leading enterprise event strategy and experiences. Managing event planners, executive programs, budgets, vendors, governance, and ROI.
Responsibilities:
- Own and lead the enterprise event strategy and portfolio
- Prioritize programs and align events with corporate and business unit priorities
- Partner with senior executives to create leadership meetings, conferences, employee experiences, customer events, and other programs
- Lead end-to-end event execution, including strategy, concept development, planning, production, logistics, onsite execution, post-event evaluation, and continuous improvement
- Build and lead a high-performing team of event planners
- Set the team vision, operating model, priorities, and standards
- Develop talent and establish accountability
- Own event budgets and financial performance
- Manage forecasts and expenditures and optimize investments
- Negotiate contracts and ensure disciplined financial management
- Lead cross-functional alignment and governance across communications, business units, executive offices, legal, procurement, accounting, IT, AV, security, and other stakeholders
- Manage agency, vendor, venue, and production partnerships
- Establish performance measurement and analytics practices
- Evaluate event effectiveness, business impact, and return on investment
- Identify risks and implement contingency plans
- Report to the Vice President of Associate Communications
- Lead 4–5 direct reports
Requirements:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate events, experiential marketing, meetings, or a related field
- Significant responsibility for large, complex programs
- Experience leading enterprise-scale events and executive experiences, including C-suite meetings, leadership conferences, customer events, and major corporate gatherings
- Strong financial and operational management experience
- Experience owning substantial budgets
- Vendor and agency management experience
- Contract negotiation experience
- Risk management experience
- Ability to demonstrate business impact and ROI
- Experience working in a large, complex corporate environment, Fortune 500 organization, or agency partner
- Ability to travel up to 40%, depending on the number of events annually
- Minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps for home internet
- Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
