Job Description
Technical GCP DevOps Project Manager leading cloud operations, SRE platforms, and automation. Supporting enterprise applications and APIs across GCP infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead technical efforts in DevOps, IaC, and automation, providing end-to-end ownership and support for critical GCP services
- Manage and resolve a high volume of ServiceNow tickets and perform expert triage for timely resolution
- Develop automation runbooks for scheduled shutdowns of hybrid workers and other resources to drive cost savings
- Enhance Tekton clusters, migrate GitHub repositories, and automate subscription lifecycle management
- Remediate vulnerabilities, enable Managed Identities on Function Apps, and apply hardened Linux OS policies and secure communication protocols
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-, Java-, or React-based web applications, portals, and cloud-automation microservices from scratch
- Develop backend services using Python and troubleshoot Google Maps Platform API and Java/Spring Boot integrations for Android/iOS applications
- Implement cloud-automation solutions including Exception Frameworks, Cloud Health, Quota Management, and Cost Optimization tools
- Build SRE platforms using Dynatrace or GCP Ops Monitoring Suite with metrics, observability, and proactive alerting
- Provide knowledge-transfer sessions to junior engineers
- Participate in on-call rotation, lead incident reviews, and conduct root-cause analysis
- Collaborate with Product Driven Organization teams and cloud providers to define, architect, and implement tools improving debuggability, supportability, availability, scalability, and performance
Requirements:
- B.E / B.Tech. degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Total 7 to 10 years of experience in the IT & IT Operations industry
- GCP Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional certification (preferred)
- At least 5+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years in a GCP or Azure
- Prior experience being part of Cloud Operations with a strong focus on Cloud Security (vulnerability remediation and threat protection)
- Prior networking background/experience, including familiarity with VPCs and serverless connectors
- At least 5 years of programming experience with Python or Java (mandatory), TypeScript/React, Go, or Kubernetes
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in IaC languages such as Terraform and Ansible
- 2+ years of experience designing and building CI/CD pipelines for IaC and microservices, preferably Tekton
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building SRE platforms using Dynatrace or GCP Ops Monitoring Suites
- Experience with Linux, virtualization, and cloud security tools
- Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts
- Ability to use automation, data analysis, and proactive monitoring to ensure high availability and remove manual toil
- Strong problem-solving ability, including root-cause identification and recurrence prevention
