Job Description
Health plan data operations intern supporting GDIT’s WTC Health Program provider data. Verifying data, updating provider rosters, and coordinating healthcare operations initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide functional support for key data directory initiatives for GDIT as Third-Party Administrator of the WTC Health Program
- Support outreach, training, and stakeholder engagement strategies through data verification
- Update and organize provider rosters that impact patient access to care
- Collaborate with teams to ensure content is accurate, consistent, and compliant with federal guidelines
- Collect and organize feedback from provider groups
- Collaborate across Data Integrity, Credentialing, Contracting, and Provider Network Relations teams
- Support or develop content for Standard Operations Procedures
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an associate's, bachelor's, or master's degree program in Health Plan Administration, another related major, or a related field at a United States-based college or university
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, and Teams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including editing and proofreading
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to build relationships in a remote environment
- Willingness to ask questions, seek support, and learn from mistakes
- Initiative in seeking personal and professional growth
- Positive energy and collaborative mindset
- Ability to think critically and help solve data challenges
- Previous work experience related to field of study is a stand-out qualification
- Experience supporting or developing Standard Operations Procedures content is a stand-out qualification
- Familiarity with Excel
- Minimum of one semester remaining in studies after internship concludes
- No US citizenship required
- No travel required
