Job Description

Industrial Account Manager managing CA, NV, AZ, and Southern UT territory sales for Lenox products. Developing partnerships with Matrix Distribution in the Industrial/MRO space.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a sales territory (CA, NV, AZ, Southern UT) by developing relationships with Matrix Distribution partners in the Industrial/MRO space
  • Demonstrate the value of Lenox products and services by running product trials and providing cost savings analysis reports to customers
  • 35% - 50% overnight travel within territory
  • Identify high-potential sales opportunities and conduct thorough needs analysis to recommend the most cost-effective solutions for end-user applications
  • Develop and execute territory plans, set priorities, and create custom marketing plans to drive field sales activity
  • Support customers with ongoing sales service, including sales analysis, inventory control, and promotions
  • Manage administrative aspects of the territory, including timely reporting, expense management, forecasts, and other leadership requests
  • Schedule and conduct product testing, application demonstrations, and training seminars
  • Solve end-user problems through troubleshooting, minor repairs, and equipment calibration to achieve optimal product performance
  • Keep current on industry trends, new materials, machines, and sawing technology through trade literature, shows, and seminars
  • Support strategic and National Account sales efforts locally and promote new products/product lines

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in a related field, or 5–7 years of equivalent trade experience in a shop environment
  • 2–5 years of direct sales experience in industrial sales (strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM is preferred
  • Technical and mechanical ability to work with tools and machines; knowledge of hydraulic, electric, pneumatic, and mechanical systems is a plus
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal, telephone, written correspondence, and presentation skills
