Job Description

Sales Manager responsible for developing new business in the industrial sector in Canada. Collaborating with a team to provide tailored solutions and drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, target, and convert new industrial clients (manufacturing facilities, ICI contractors, etc.) through cold-calling, industry events, referrals, and strategic networking.
  • Develop and execute quarterly territory and account strategies to build a strong, sustainable sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate with field service technicians and service management to assess client needs.
  • Recommend and present tailored solutions, including new doors, high-speed doors, dock systems, and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Prepare and deliver professional proposals for installations, parts, service contracts, and upgrades.
  • Negotiate contracts and close new business opportunities, achieving annual sales targets and ensuring profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers (facility managers, plant engineers, operations executives) as a trusted long-term partner.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and facility needs to inform sales strategy. Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (service, operations, billing) to ensure seamless project execution and high customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in B2B outside sales, business development, or new account acquisition preferably in property management, mechanical, or building-materials sectors.
  • Comfortable selling mechanical solutions, industrial doors, or loading dock systems.
  • Prior experience with maintenance programs or aftermarket sales is a plus.
  • Highly motivated, resilient, and persistent; thriving on cold outreach and building a pipeline from scratch.
  • Ability to create and execute territory plans, analyze opportunities, and forecast effectively.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and proposal-writing abilities.
  • Strong follow-through, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Skilled in multitasking and managing multiple prospects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and sales analytics.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Southern Ontario (primarily GTA) for client visits.
