Job Description
Key Account Manager growing Emerson RIDGID sales across Scandinavia. Developing distributor, contractor, utility, and end-user relationships from a Denmark-based home office.
Responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth through site visits, customer-needs assessments, and technical guidance
- Document customer visits, action plans, sales opportunities, and follow-up activities
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities
- Manage existing customer relationships to achieve business objectives
- Deliver product demonstrations and represent Emerson at trade shows, customer events, roadshows, and industry gatherings
- Build and maintain partnerships with distributors, dealers, and end users across targeted market segments
- Provide product knowledge and sales training to distributor teams and customer organizations
- Maintain accurate customer information using CRM and other business systems
- Engage construction companies, municipalities, contractors, utilities, and industrial customers
- Analyze market opportunities and customer needs to align Emerson’s product portfolio with target customers and distribution partners
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience and support long-term business growth
Requirements:
- Experience developing business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and achieving sales objectives in industrial, electrical, utility, renewable energy, manufacturing, or related markets
- Technical aptitude and ability to understand equipment, technologies, and customer applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Danish
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal
- Effective presentation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently in a home-based environment while managing priorities and customer commitments
- Willingness and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory
- German language skills preferred
- Technical education, training, or equivalent practical experience preferred
- Experience with distributors, channel partners, or technical sales organizations preferred
- Knowledge of Scandinavian industrial, utility, infrastructure, or renewable energy markets preferred
