Job Description

Key Account Manager securing vacancies, placements, and training pathways for UK oil and gas workers. Managing employer relationships for Reed in Partnership’s North Sea Jobs Service.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage key employer relationships for the North Sea Jobs Service
  • Source sustainable employment opportunities for NSJS workers
  • Ensure service levels exceed stakeholder and employer expectations
  • Use employer relationships and knowledge of business and skills needs to map opportunities to training pathways
  • Secure suitable vacancies and placement opportunities with employers
  • Represent Reed in Partnership at external meetings
  • Identify and influence the design and approach of employment initiatives and new opportunities
  • Drive new employer engagement opportunities and convert them effectively
  • Promote the full NSJS offering, including work placements and vacancies
  • Maximise repeat business with key employers
  • Identify employer-led business opportunities in growth sectors
  • Ensure NSJS provision is responsive and demand-led to employer and worker needs

Requirements:

  • BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard)
  • Experience and track record of working in an account management or business development role
  • Personal track record of working towards and achieving targets
  • Minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma
  • GCSE English Language at a minimum of a Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification), OR achievement of a Level 2 in Literacy Assessment at interview stage
  • Good knowledge of the national labour market
  • Knowledge of employment legislation governing recruitment practices
  • Good knowledge of partners/stakeholders
  • Analytical ability to use intelligence to maximise on business opportunities
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Accomplished networking skills
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to build professional relationships effectively
  • Experience of working in a performance target driven environment
  • Experience of working in business-to-business sales
  • Experience of working in networking, recruitment, publicly funded services or similar sectors
  • Knowledge of the Clean Energy, Oil and Gas and Industry Priority Sectors
  • May be required to travel around the UK when needed, including Aberdeen
