Job Description

Remote molecular diagnostics sales executive selling lab tests, oncology probes, and medical devices for Abbott. Managing customer accounts and technical support across the Philadelphia-Baltimore territory with up to 80% travel.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as trusted partner to existing customers
  • Build, promote, and achieve targeted retention rate
  • Manage and drive account development according to strategic account plans
  • Expand account value and economic profitability
  • Deliver first-line support and technical troubleshooting
  • Escalate Level 2+ issues to service specialists
  • Coordinate order, delivery, and billing
  • Make reagent-utilization and product-replacement decisions affecting annual supply budgets
  • Consider financial and customer implications in decision-making
  • Communicate customer complaints and resolution actions
  • Maintain integrity, honesty, accurate information, and commitments
  • Monitor and maintain customer satisfaction through direct contact
  • Sell molecular lab tests, FISH Oncology Probe products, and oncology medical devices to hospital, reference, and research laboratories
  • Adhere to Abbott safety guidelines, policies, and procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required
  • 2+ years of relevant experience with instrumentation used in a laboratory environment
  • Qualified candidates must currently live in the Southern part of the Philadelphia area
  • Easy access to a major metropolitan airport
  • Ability to travel up to 80%
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Lab experience in molecular or FISH cytogenetic testing preferred
  • Previous sales experience preferred but not required
  • Cytotechnology laboratory experience preferred, or current/previous professional experience in a laboratory environment, field service, or technical call center
  • Experience providing technical product application and/or hardware support
  • Experience interfacing with customers
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Negotiation skills
