Job Description

Service Sales Representative growing flow cytometry service-contract revenue for BD, a global medical technology company. Managing renewals, new contracts, customer accounts, forecasting, and territory sales across the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow service contract revenue within an assigned territory.
  • Serve as the primary account manager for service agreements tied to flow cytometry instrumentation.
  • Drive new contract acquisition, renewals, and incremental service opportunities.
  • Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets through territory execution, pipeline management, and accurate forecasting.
  • Develop and execute territory and account plans to grow contract attachment, renewals, and service revenue.
  • Engage customers through outbound phone calls, email, and virtual or in-person meetings.
  • Build knowledge of service contracts, support plans, time and materials services, training, and compliance solutions to uncover revenue opportunities.
  • Manage contract opportunities through qualification, negotiation, and close.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity, pipeline, and forecast data in CRM.
  • Use data and insights to prioritize opportunities and focus on high-ROI activities.
  • Communicate competitive dynamics, customer needs, and market trends within assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with Field Service, Commercial Sales, Marketing, and internal partners.
  • Support marketing and sales initiatives and complete required reporting and administrative tasks.
  • Report to the Senior Manager, U.S. Contract Sales.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Prior sales experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals through proactive opportunity development and disciplined execution.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, including comfort with phone-based selling.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high level of personal accountability.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong team connectivity.
  • Proficiency in standard business tools, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office or similar.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% for customer meetings, sales events, and internal meetings.
  • Preferred: experience in service contract sales, account management, or aftermarket selling.
  • Preferred: experience selling service contracts, renewals, or recurring revenue solutions.
  • Preferred: familiarity with life sciences, diagnostics, biomedical instrumentation, or field service environments.
  • Preferred: strong competitive mindset with demonstrated ability to win business from competitors.
