Job Description

National Account Manager shaping Abbott Point of Care’s US medical distribution strategy. Managing distributor performance, contracts, analytics, and cross-functional commercial initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and ensure best-in-class performance of the approximately $80 million Abbott Point of Care US Distribution network
  • Lead engagements with executive-level and key decision makers, including Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Define and shape distributor strategies supporting US Outpatient strategic imperatives
  • Ensure distributor and National Account activities are understood by the Sales Team
  • Synthesize and share industry knowledge and competitive intelligence from field and account visits
  • Communicate changing market conditions and business opportunities to US Commercial leadership
  • Recommend business process improvements based on market and distributor feedback
  • Collaborate with Marketing, C&P, Finance, Legal, and Sales on distributor contract terms
  • Identify opportunities to revise agreement terms to maximize APOC performance
  • Develop the Abbott Point of Care distributor strategy for the US market
  • Manage and influence distributor performance across financial, operational, compliance, quality, and customer satisfaction areas
  • Develop analytics infrastructure, dashboards, and reports to measure performance against KPIs and service level agreements
  • Conduct opportunity, risk, distributor potential, performance, optimization, and segmentation analyses
  • Develop and implement change-management processes across cross-functional teams
  • Ensure implementation of the APOC Quality & Compliance System in partnership with QA/RA
  • Adhere to and promote Abbott Code of Business Conduct

Requirements:

  • B.A. or B.S. Degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience working with or for distributors
  • Understanding of sales and distributor practices
  • Strategic thinking and demonstrated ability to lead through highly complex business change efforts
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams within a matrixed organization
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Highly effective communication and strong presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel approximately 60–80%
  • Advanced degree in business or supply chain preferred
