Job Description

Presales security expert designing and validating network, cloud, and security solutions for Fortinet, a global cybersecurity company. Supporting public-sector customers through technical workshops, RFPs, and proof-of-concept evaluations.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and propose secure platform solutions in collaboration with the assigned Sales Representative
  • Build and validate technical security solutions in simulated and production environments
  • Design complete network, cloud, and security architectures with technical roadmaps
  • Identify technical opportunities to support pipeline growth
  • Lead proof-of-concept evaluations, technical workshops, and events
  • Articulate a compelling cybersecurity vision as an industry leader
  • Respond to technical RFPs
  • Facilitate communication and teamwork across departments and teams
  • Provide technical solutions for Fortinet’s cybersecurity customers, including enterprise, service provider, and government organizations

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in pre-sales designing and proposing secure platform solutions
  • Hands-on experience in architectural administration and proving designs in simulated and production environments
  • Ability to build technical security solutions, prove viability, and provide technological justifications
  • Ability to design complete network, cloud, and security solutions and provide technical roadmaps
  • Knowledge of Secure Networking, Secure Wireless, Private/Public Cloud, SD-WAN, SASE, Zero Trust, AI, Automation, SecOps, Operational Technology, Forensics, and Incident Response
  • Strong presentation, whiteboarding, communication, and writing skills
  • Experience responding to technical RFPs
  • Ability to identify technical opportunities and increase pipeline growth
  • Experience leading proof-of-concept evaluations, technical workshops, and events
  • Experience administering LAN/WAN/Internet services
  • Ability to design network and security solutions using Visio and create Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Knowledge of Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Stateful Firewalling, NGFW, Firewall Policies, Identity-Based Policies, NAT, IPS, Anti-Malware, Botnet, Application Control, DDoS, Web Filtering, and SDN
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, supernetting, subnetting, DNS, HTTP, SMTP, RADIUS, LDAP, Active Directory, PKI, and IKE
  • Experience with encryption and authentication technologies required
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills desired
  • Previous vendor or reseller experience is an asset
  • Flexibility with travel within the designated region and occasionally to other regions
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
