Job Description
Principal Presales Engineer delivering technical wins for Twilio’s communications platform customers. Leading presales architecture, discovery, demos, and complex customer opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Account Executives on opportunity qualification, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concepts, RFPs, design documentation, technical presentations, and enablement sessions
- Lead technical discovery sessions with customers
- Build and present complex presentations and product demonstrations for Twilio Communications Products
- Establish trusted-advisor relationships with customers
- Introduce innovative solutions and architectures
- Contribute to the Solutions Engineering community through knowledge sharing
- Construct demonstration materials and reusable presentations
- Drive the technical side of opportunities autonomously
- Provide leadership and deal support within the Solutions Engineer organization
- Drive the design and execution of medium to large projects
- Participate in architectural decisions and coordinate with product and other Twilio teams
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years in a solutions engineering (presales) role specializing in the sale of complex technical products, or 10+ years of professional experience supporting technical products with customer-facing experience, particularly in delivery or consulting
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate complex topics to multiple audience levels
- Ability to understand customers’ communications needs and guide them to technical solutions
- Customer-focused problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Previous software development experience in backend technologies (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP), web development (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React, Vue.js, Angular), or REST APIs
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent practical experiences
- Must be eligible to work in the United States based on the Remote - US location
