Job Description
Principal presales networking engineer supporting HPE Networking customers across Southern California. Designing Aruba and Juniper solutions, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and sales engagements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage pre-sales technical and functional support for prospective clients and Global Major customers
- Present and articulate HPE Networking solutions and their value versus competitors
- Work with Territory Managers to qualify opportunities and convert leads into successful engagements
- Develop tailored networking solutions for clients and prospects
- Manage account and partner responsibilities for selected Global Major accounts
- Provide hardware, software, and services combinations for complex customer needs
- Support bids, proposals, and solution presentations
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and demand generation events
- Manage channel partners and develop account relationships
- Maintain sales pipelines and forecasts against regional goals
- Provide consultative support to internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare product, design, and implementation specifications
- Build proofs of concept using rapid prototyping or product demonstrations
- Consult with prospective users and assess and validate product capabilities
Requirements:
- 10+ years of infrastructure engineering and successful pre-sales support experience preferred
- Oral and written communication, organizational, presentation, prioritization, and interpersonal skills
- Customer-focused ability to design and manage solutions to complex technical issues
- Ability to interface with senior internal and external organizations
- Extensive Aruba Networking or Juniper Mist Networking knowledge
- Knowledge of routing and switching technologies
- Networking security experience
- NAC experience with ClearPass, ISE, Cloud NAC, or Juniper Access Assurance
- Wireless design, deployment, and troubleshooting experience
- Pre- and post-wireless site survey knowledge, such as Ekahau or Hamina
- CWNA, CWDP, or CWSP knowledge level preferred
- Ability to work in the Southern California territory
