Job Description

Field-based Foot & Ankle sales consultant growing DePuy Synthes orthopaedic products across Hawaii. Supporting surgeons, hospitals, surgical cases, and customer relationships throughout the Hawaiian Islands.

Responsibilities:

  • Grow and develop the Foot & Ankle healthcare professional customer base in the assigned Hawaiian Islands geography
  • Present, demonstrate, and ensure proper utilization of DePuy Synthes products
  • Develop new business and support existing business within the Foot & Ankle portfolio
  • Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager on business planning, targeting, and market strategy
  • Sell Foot & Ankle products to new accounts and increase sales with existing customers
  • Educate surgeons and hospital staff on proper product use
  • Establish clinical relationships with surgeons, clinicians, and evaluators
  • Support surgeons, DPMs, and operating-room personnel during surgical cases
  • Perform field calls, on-call support, and operating/emergency-room consultation as needed
  • Collaborate with Trauma partners to grow Foot & Ankle business
  • Manage sales equipment and promotional materials
  • Ensure timely product delivery to surgery sites
  • Achieve business-plan objectives and sales goals/quotas
  • Complete administrative duties and accurately invoice customers
  • Follow applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and compliance procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher plus a minimum of 2 years’ experience; or Associate’s degree and/or Certified Surgical Technician plus 6 years of related experience; or Recently Transitioned Active Duty Military
  • Minimum of 3 years of selling, account management, or related experience; military experience considered
  • Ability to work in a lab/operating room environment
  • Strong interpersonal communication, technical acumen, negotiation, influencing, strategic thinking, problem solving, and business acumen skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously
  • Ability to work in a matrix and team structure
  • Valid driver’s license issued in the United States
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Residence in or willingness to relocate to the posted territory
  • High level of attention to detail
