Job Description
Senior business development professional growing OSC Edge’s federal IT contracting business across DoD, federal agencies, and commercial sectors. Driving capture strategy, proposals, customer relationships, and new contract opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with corporate growth goals
- Shape and influence requirements early in the acquisition cycle
- Manage the full business development lifecycle, including opportunity identification, capture strategy, proposal support, and contract transition
- Establish and maintain relationships with DoD and government decision-makers, industry partners, and integrators
- Collaborate with internal departments and leadership teams to ensure customer success
- Deliver weekly updates and progress reports
- Improve business development processes, including CRM, capture, and proposal workflows
- Develop, forecast, and capture new opportunities while maintaining customer relationships
- Identify strategic marketplace inflection points for core and non-traditional initiatives
- Present strategic and business growth opportunities, including market and competitive analysis
- Monitor government portals, notices, and postings daily to identify opportunities for Go/No-Go consideration
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 10 or more years of experience working in the Federal IT industry
- Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships
- Prior Federal IT industry relationships and ability to translate OSC Edge capabilities into growth opportunities
- Capture planning and execution experience
- Strong relationships in target accounts
- Experience working tactical, operational, and strategic opportunities
- Proven success capturing small- and large-scale DoD contracts, preferably in information technology
- Strong knowledge of POM processes and contracting vehicles, such as IDIQ
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to develop business cases and shape opportunities for future growth
- Experience building relationships with federal acquisition offices
- Experience collaborating with subcontractors and prime Federal Contractors
- Ability to multitask and handle competing deadlines
- Demonstrated strategic approaches to entering markets
- Ability to make sound judgments and decisions
- Ability to solve problems quickly and work under pressure
- Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented; able to work independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to travel at least 25%
- Associate’s degree or higher preferred
- Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one may be required depending on the work pursued
