Job Description
Senior HR leader scaling employee relations, compliance, rewards, and HR technology for ACES’ autism therapy organization. Building scalable systems, teams, and processes for multi-site growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the core HR function and own day-to-day HR operations
- Lead employee relations, workplace investigations, HR compliance, performance management, progressive discipline, total rewards, benefits, and retirement programs
- Assess HR processes, systems, policies, and workflows and create a scaling roadmap
- Design standardized, efficient HR processes with service levels, documentation, controls, and effectiveness measures
- Identify opportunities for standardization, centralization, automation, elimination, or redesign
- Use AI, automation, HR technology, and data to improve HR effectiveness and employee experience
- Serve as senior leader for complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations
- Partner with legal counsel and stakeholders on high-risk or complex matters
- Strengthen performance management and manager capability through tools, training, and decision frameworks
- Lead compensation, benefits, and retirement programs
- Improve employee experience and trust in HR
- Develop and evolve the HR team
- Partner with executives, operational leaders, managers, and employees across the organization
- Translate complex HR issues into business implications and recommendations
Requirements:
- Led a significant HR function within a growing, operationally complex organization
- Supported a multi-site workforce
- Significant experience supporting hourly employee populations, including direct experience with California employment practices
- Deep experience leading complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, performance management, and progressive discipline
- Demonstrated experience building and scaling HR processes, systems, and operating models
- Successfully supported significant organizational growth without requiring proportional increases in HR headcount
- Experience leading and developing HR teams and increasing their capability and organizational impact
- Meaningful experience with compensation, benefits, and retirement programs
- Experience partnering with senior executives and operational leaders on complex people and business issues
- Demonstrated success using process improvement, technology, automation, data, or AI to increase HR effectiveness
- Physical ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force and lift/move up to 15 pounds
