Job Description
Senior HR specialist managing compliant employee exits and employee relations for Remote’s global employment platform. Improving lifecycle processes, automation, and customer experience across international jurisdictions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and resolve end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions
- Advise clients on termination, resignation, transfer, employment contracts, and redundancy processes
- Lead workforce reduction consultations, administrative hearings, separation and settlement negotiations, and termination meetings
- Influence and negotiate outcomes in complex terminations
- Coordinate with payroll, legal counsel, government bodies, trade unions, and other stakeholders
- Draft, tailor, and administer termination and supplementary documents
- Process offboarding in Remote’s internal HRIS platform
- Respond to internal and external offboarding queries as a subject-matter expert
- Guide clients through Employee Relations resources, policies, and processes
- Conduct preliminary assessments of workplace concerns and applicable local regulations
- Coordinate handling of employee relations matters
- Support progressive disciplinary approaches and documentation
- Monitor employee relations cases and ensure timely follow-up
- Contribute to process improvements, automation, product development, and customer and employee experience initiatives
- Report to the Manager Employee Lifecycle, Employee Relations & Transitions
Requirements:
- Experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner
- Generalist HR competencies and exposure across the employee lifecycle
- Strong experience managing voluntary and involuntary exits with care, sensitivity, and legal compliance
- Experience providing HR support and guidance on employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions
- Ability to interpret and apply industrial instruments
- Ability to analyze complex HR issues, conduct research, and provide practical solutions
- Basic understanding of employee relations, progressive discipline, and workplace investigations
- Excellent communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills
- Business-level/advanced written and spoken English proficiency
- Aptitude for process innovation, optimization, automation, and best practices
- Strong operational efficiency, record-keeping, and data integrity awareness
- Tech-savvy and able to adapt to evolving systems and asynchronous collaboration tools
- Ability to work autonomously and cohesively in an international, fast-paced, asynchronous remote environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
- Proactive, self-motivated, and accountable
- Strong automation and AI capabilities and AI fluency
