Job Description
Senior manager driving The Home Depot’s Pro merchandising growth through assortment optimization, performance tracking, and sales-team training. Supporting wholesale distribution across Texas virtual markets.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the outside salesforce and field leadership to implement Pro Merchandising initiatives
- Optimize local assortments and provide merchandising training and support to Pro Project Specialists, Outside Sales Representatives, and Pro Sales Managers
- Develop growth strategies across Pro Merchandising categories using data-driven insights
- Support the Pro One Supply Chain assortment through Flatbed Distribution Centers and Direct Fulfillment Centers
- Identify underperforming products and optimize assortments to increase sales potential
- Analyze space in Pro One Supply Chain assortments to maximize sales and gross margin in FDC/DFC locations
- Monitor key performance indicators and ensure accountability for merchandising sales targets and project effectiveness
- Influence Pro Project Specialist routines to align with Pro Merchandising objectives and provide necessary tools
- Collaborate with Outside Sales Directors to develop merchandising strategies and enhance market presence
- Conduct local training sessions for outside sales teams to improve product knowledge and drive sales growth
- Report to the Senior Director; manage no direct reports
Requirements:
- Must be eighteen years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to draw accurate conclusions from financial documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in merchandising, retail planning, and inventory management
- Proven analytical and execution skills in a merchandising or retail environment
- High school diploma and/or GED
- Minimum 4 years of work experience
Benefits:
- Overnight travel requirements of 5% to 20% of the time
