Job Description

BMO lending operations specialist administering home-financing transactions, documentation, and service requests for Quebec clients. Analyzing loan data, resolving discrepancies, and supporting compliant process improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver day-to-day lending operations processes, including loan administration and servicing activities
  • Execute payments, transactions, service requests, administrative activities, and stakeholder inquiry fulfillment within service level agreements
  • Communicate with internal business partners and external customers regarding standard and non-standard inquiries
  • Monitor and track performance and address issues
  • Integrate information from multiple sources for efficient processes, enhanced analysis, and streamlined reporting
  • Gather and format data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards
  • Support change management, including execution and sustainment activities
  • Resolve standard issues and refer non-routine issues to senior team members or the manager
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of business processes and procedures
  • Participate in planning, testing, and implementation of projects and new or revised products, services, or processes
  • Check and reconcile information and documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies and escalate issues when necessary
  • Perform administrative tasks involving documentation and information
  • Data enter, review, and verify loan information and documentation
  • Manage documentation and maintain proper records
  • Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet business objectives
  • Collaborate on development and implementation of new systems, processes, and improvements
  • Maintain understanding of regulatory requirements and operational risks
  • Support development of tools and delivery of training focused on business results

Requirements:

  • Typically 3–5 years of relevant experience
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • In-depth knowledge and experience using relevant systems and technology
  • In-depth knowledge of the business unit’s key products, services, processes, and controls
  • In-depth knowledge of business risk and regulatory requirements
  • Good prioritization skills
  • In-depth PC skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience
  • In-depth verbal and written communication skills
  • In-depth collaboration and team skills
  • In-depth analytical and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth influence skills
  • Fluency in French and English
  • Ability to support clients and team members inside and/or outside Quebec
