Job Description

Technical Account Manager leading technical engagements with U.S. Government customers for quantum computing. Collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met and value is delivered.

Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with our Business Development and Sales teams, present our product to customer prospects, understanding their most critical computational challenges and mapping company value accordingly
  • Translate and present the company’s vision, strategy, and product roadmap to both executive-level and technical stakeholders
  • Deliver technical presentations at large events such as conferences, webinars, and seminars and develop materials for those events that can be re-used by other teams
  • Support marketing efforts by hosting webinars, staffing conference booths and representing the company at industry events.
  • Hold regular technical meetings with clients during rollout, expansion and support phases and identifying opportunities to develop further ROI
  • Build and maintain long-term technical relationships with customer teams across the project lifecycle
  • Identify and recommend new projects that can leverage the D-Wave’s solutions
  • Serve as a technical resource on quantum optimization, industry trends, and competitive positioning
  • Convey customer requirements to internal product and development teams, advocating for client needs
  • Communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively across multiple platforms and audiences
  • Demonstrate a strong customer support mindset, meeting clients where they are and delivering candid, thoughtful guidance
  • Expect 30%–50% travel to conferences, client meetings, training sessions, and sales events

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field; advanced degree a plus
  • Must have an active clearance. Secret clearance is a requirement; Top Secret clearance is preferred.
  • 8+ years combined experience in a technical customer-facing role (e.g. Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Presales, Solution Integrator, Solution Architect, Customer Success) in enterprise software or comparable experience solving problems for the U.S Government and/or in areas of national security
  • 5+ years of hands-on Python professional programming experience.
  • Experience supporting U.S. Government clients is required, including the Department of War and either (or both) Civilian Agencies and Intelligence Communities.
  • Strong foundation in optimization, algorithms, or applied mathematics
  • Experience with tools and platforms such as, GitHub, and REST APIs
  • Familiarity with operations research techniques and tools (highly desired)
  • Proven ability to communicate technical content to both technical and non-technical stakeholders with little to no support
  • Experience with project areas in logistics, scheduling, resource allocation, or other similar focus preferred
  • Quantum Computing experience and Project management experience are a plus, but not required
