Job Description
Strategic Account Executive at Itron focusing on enterprise accounts in the energy industry. Driving sales targets and developing strategic account plans for revenue growth in energy and utilities.
Responsibilities:
- Exceed sales targets by driving new opportunities and selling solutions into enterprise accounts within the energy industry
- Develop a set of assigned accounts with the mindset of an owner/operator
- Manage the entire sales process to ensure delivery against key performance metrics
- Identify customer buying processes and decision‑making structures
- Engage with prospect organizations to position Itron solutions through value‑based selling
- Provide accurate monthly forecasting and revenue delivery
- Work with management and cross‑functional teams to develop a strategic account plan
Requirements:
- 5+ years of selling enterprise SaaS solutions with focus on business applications
- Successful history of net new business sales (direct)
- BA/BS or equivalent
- Excellent management, organizational, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills
- Empathetic, positive, with a strong desire to help customers reach their goals
- A passion for technology and for being part of an innovative SaaS company
- Deep (10+ years) experience working in the energy industry (strong emphasis on U.S. Utilities) strongly preferred.
