Job Description

Strategic Account Manager driving HVAC sales in the Retail market for Carrier. Focus on business development, sales targets, and strategic relationship management across multiple states.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market analysis and identify key customer targets.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets in assigned territory.
  • Develop and maintain owner relationships with retail partners that operate in more than one State or major market in the case of Canada and Mexico.
  • Influence design standards and projects for direct and indirect sales opportunities.
  • Use procurement contracts and other sales tools to increase equipment, service, and controls sales.
  • Oversee Retail sales activities and resources within sales channels.
  • Collaborate with local Carrier Commercial Sales, Service, and Controls teams on sales strategies that improve Carrier’s overall competitive position.
  • Track project activity keeping internal team members and external customers informed.
  • Update Salesforce with customer contact information and unique requirements including but not limited to, product configurations, and prototypes where applicable.
  • Provide technical and product training to key customers.
  • Communicate and cooperate across business functions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in the HVAC industry.
  • 3+ years of sales experience.
  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing (Preferred).
  • Public sector sales experience (Preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with both external customers and across functional teams.
  • Sense of urgency, self-initiative, dedication, and sense of ownership.
  • Outstanding follow-up and follow-through skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to prioritize.
  • Strategic planning and negotiating skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
