Job Description
Territory Sales Officer driving sales growth and execution excellence in assigned territory for Unilever. Responsible for achieving sales targets and maintaining strong distributor relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the territory across all categories and channels.
- Ensure brilliant basics in market execution, including visibility, availability, and activation as per company guidelines.
- Manage and develop distributors to ensure smooth operations, timely billing, and adherence to company policies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers and wholesalers to drive loyalty and business growth.
- Implement channel-specific strategies and ensure infrastructure readiness for growth.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to improve territory performance.
- Ensure adherence to safety, legal, and administrative guidelines within the territory.
- Provide accurate and timely reports on sales, execution, and market conditions to the Area Sales Manager/ RSM.
- Address and resolve customer or distributor issues promptly to maintain business continuity.
Requirements:
- Graduate/MBA preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, preferably in FMCG
- Strong ability to implement plans and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to influence and negotiate with customers
- Skilled in building and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Understanding of digital tools and trends to enhance sales effectiveness
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel extensively within the territory
