Job Description
Treasury AVP managing fixed-income investments and OTC Bitcoin/FX execution for Xapo Bank, a digital bank. Structuring Bitcoin-referenced products and overseeing Treasury risk and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow the Treasury's fixed income investment portfolio, including sourcing, evaluating, and executing investments to optimise returns within approved risk limits
- Assess and balance risk and reward across Treasury's investment and structuring activities within the Group's Risk Appetite and Financial Limits
- Structure investment and yield products for Treasury with internal stakeholders and counterparties
- Design and structure Bitcoin-referenced yield, hedging, and investment products
- Execute and manage OTC Bitcoin trades and FX flows while maintaining counterparty relationships and ensuring best execution
- Apply trading discipline and market experience to Treasury's investment, hedging, and execution activities
- Identify and mitigate credit, market, currency, and interest rate risks
- Contribute to Treasury Management Information, including investment performance, P&L, and risk reporting for senior committees such as the ALCO
- Drive Xapo Bank's Bitcoin-first strategy alongside traditional finance and fixed income investment strategies
Requirements:
- CFA or CIMA or similar qualification preferred
- Proven experience in fixed income investments, including sourcing, evaluating, and managing a fixed income portfolio
- Demonstrated experience structuring Treasury products, ideally including Bitcoin-referenced structures
- Strong OTC Bitcoin and FX trading/flow experience
- Prior trading experience with strong understanding of market execution and price discovery
- Strong understanding of risk-reward trade-offs and the Group's Risk Appetite
- Creative, commercially minded approach to designing investment and yield-enhancing solutions
- Must have crypto experience
- Strong understanding of financial principles, investment management, and treasury operations
- Excellent quantitative and analytical abilities
- Knowledge of investment and market-related risks and experience developing risk mitigation strategies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial calculations and reporting
