Job Description
Account Manager managing procurement processes for a scaling tech startup. Focus on efficient, transparent, and scalable IT purchasing and vendor management.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of assigned customers: capture requirements, prioritize them, and drive proactive coordination
- Coordinate renewals and changes end-to-end: timelines, content, stakeholders, and documentation
- Vendor management: build relationships with vendor teams, accelerate processes, and ensure clear communication
- Negotiations and proposal management: compare options, negotiate terms, and prepare decision papers
- Market and tool research: assess offerings, understand pricing logic, and evaluate alternatives and benchmarks
- Knowledge building: document best practices and develop playbooks and vendor insights
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as an Account Manager or Customer Success Manager (SaaS)
- Experience in (IT) procurement is a plus
- You are hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to maintain an overview while managing many concurrent topics
- Confident in commercial negotiations and comfortable working with contract terms
- Data-savvy (spreadsheets/tools) with structured tracking of pipelines and cost savings
- German: business-fluent (C1/C2) – absolutely essential
- English: fluent (at least B2/C1)
- Additional languages are a plus
