Job Description

Account Manager managing procurement processes for a scaling tech startup. Focus on efficient, transparent, and scalable IT purchasing and vendor management.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of assigned customers: capture requirements, prioritize them, and drive proactive coordination
  • Coordinate renewals and changes end-to-end: timelines, content, stakeholders, and documentation
  • Vendor management: build relationships with vendor teams, accelerate processes, and ensure clear communication
  • Negotiations and proposal management: compare options, negotiate terms, and prepare decision papers
  • Market and tool research: assess offerings, understand pricing logic, and evaluate alternatives and benchmarks
  • Knowledge building: document best practices and develop playbooks and vendor insights

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience as an Account Manager or Customer Success Manager (SaaS)
  • Experience in (IT) procurement is a plus
  • You are hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to maintain an overview while managing many concurrent topics
  • Confident in commercial negotiations and comfortable working with contract terms
  • Data-savvy (spreadsheets/tools) with structured tracking of pipelines and cost savings
  • German: business-fluent (C1/C2) – absolutely essential
  • English: fluent (at least B2/C1)
  • Additional languages are a plus
