Job Description
Develop and maintain client relationships across Ontario while coordinating with internal teams to deliver product and service solutions. Attend industry events, ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, and support team safety and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and prospect potential customers using the company's lead tracking, existing client history, tender websites, industry news, and contact history in the sector.
- Visit customers to maintain and strengthen relationships, identify their specific needs and potential solutions.
- Work closely with internal sales staff and technical support teams to ensure timely and accurate quote submissions.
- Develop business plans and reports to manage and track commercial activities and progress.
- Ensure customer relationship management (CRM) tools are kept up to date and reviewed.
- Participate in relevant training and certification.
- Review vendor information on new or updated products.
- Stay current with NFPA, ULC and other local and national codes and standards.
- Keep up to date with industry news and key developments.
- Attend industry trade shows and events to promote our products, services and solutions.
- Ensure safe work practices are followed and demonstrate safety leadership in all aspects of your work.
- Support other team members, including administrative, operational, and field staff, to safely and effectively deliver high-quality service to our customers.
Requirements:
- Experience in the fire protection and life safety services sector, complemented by a technical diploma in fire protection, security, or a related field, is an asset.
- Relevant experience in technical product sales, or in sales/business development of product- or service-based solutions.
- Knowledge of NFPA, ULC and other local and national codes and standards is an asset.
- Proficiency with computerized ERP and CRM systems is an asset.
- Valid driver's license.
