Job Description

Sales and Business Development professional focusing on commodities derivatives to drive trading activity and grow market share. Building client relationships and promoting exchange products across energy, metals, and environmental markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute a sales strategy to grow trading volumes and open interest in listed commodity derivatives whilst being knowledgeable of environmental and energy transition markets.
  • Drive client acquisition and revenue growth by promoting exchange-listed derivatives products
  • Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with key client segments.
  • Analyse client activity, market share, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
  • Understand client hedging, trading, and investment needs and propose solutions using listed derivatives.
  • Collect and distribute feedback internally via internal CRM (Hubspot) platform and presentation regular business updates to management while supporting regional SMEs related to the Abaxx business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field; a master’s degree or professional designation (e.g., CFA, FRM, CAIA) is an advantage.
  • Typically, 5–8 years of experience in sales, business development, or client coverage within commodities, derivatives, or financial markets
  • Strong understanding of Strong understanding of exchange-traded derivatives and commodities markets with emphasis on environmental and energy transition markets.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and managing institutional and corporate client relationships and meeting or exceeding commercial targets.
  • Existing industry relationships and network are a strong advantage
