Job Description

Email Marketing Specialist managing campaigns, automation, segmentation, and analytics. Supporting an Australian veterinary healthcare business’s customer engagement and conversions.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, create, and execute email marketing campaigns aligned with business and marketing objectives
  • Develop engaging email copy and content to drive opens, clicks, engagement, and conversions
  • Build and manage email campaigns, newsletters, automated sequences, and customer journeys
  • Segment email lists based on customer behaviour, demographics, engagement, and other relevant criteria
  • Set up and manage email automations, workflows, triggers, and lead nurturing sequences
  • Maintain and clean email databases to ensure data accuracy and list health
  • Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, CTAs, layouts, and send times
  • Monitor open rates, click-through rates, conversions, unsubscribe rates, and deliverability
  • Analyse campaign results and recommend improvements
  • Coordinate with marketing, sales, and content teams for consistent cross-channel messaging
  • Ensure emails are mobile-friendly, visually engaging, and aligned with brand guidelines
  • Manage campaign calendars, scheduling, and email deployment
  • Stay current with email marketing trends, deliverability requirements, and industry best practices
  • Troubleshoot campaign, automation, and deliverability issues
  • Prepare regular reports and communicate key insights and performance trends to management

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in email marketing or a similar digital marketing role
  • Strong understanding of email marketing principles, customer segmentation, automation, and lead nurturing
  • Experience using email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, GoHighLevel, or similar
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills
  • Experience with email automation, workflows, customer journeys, and campaign scheduling
  • Understanding of email deliverability, list hygiene, spam prevention, and unsubscribe requirements
  • Ability to analyse campaign data and use insights to improve performance
  • Experience with A/B testing and conversion optimisation
  • Strong attention to detail when reviewing links, formatting, personalisation, and campaign settings
  • Basic understanding of HTML and email design is an advantage
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of email marketing activities
  • Proactive, analytical, and commercially minded, with a focus on measurable results
  • Must disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
  • Must reflect this engagement on LinkedIn, clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”
