Job Description
HR Business Partner collaborating with EPD teams at Ashby to provide strategic people ops guidance. Cultivating employee development and aligning business objectives with people strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with EPD teams to provide proactive guidance across critical areas.
- Foster employee development and cultivate a high-performance culture.
- Ensure competitive and equitable compensation structures.
- Translate business objectives into a people strategy.
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to leaders, aligning people ops strategies with business goals.
- Assist with both strategic projects and administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- ~8 years of deep experience with HR/People Ops, including supporting EPD teams through periods of meaningful growth and change.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis in coaching, facilitation, and policy development.
- Strong business acumen and principled approach to decision-making, balancing business outcomes with employee experience, risk, and long-term scalability.
- Flexibility in approach to avoid rigid adherence to past playbooks or overly process-heavy solutions.
- Comfort working both independently and in a team environment.
- Experience includes supporting a globally distributed and asynchronous workforce.
- Expertise in US employment law, compensation frameworks, and training and development programs.
- Proficiency in using HRIS, compensation management tools, and other HR tools to drive operational excellence.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary and equity.
- 10-year exercise window for stock options. You shouldn’t feel pressure to purchase stock options if you leave Ashby —do it when you feel financially comfortable.
- Unlimited PTO with four weeks recommended per year. Expect “Vacation?” in our one-on-one agenda until you start taking it 😅.
- Twelve weeks of fully paid family leave in the US. We plan to expand this to employees in other countries as situations arise.
- Generous equipment, software, and office furniture budget. Get what you need to be happy and productive!
- $100/month education budget with more expensive items (like conferences) covered with manager approval.
- If you’re in the US, top-notch health insurance for you and your dependents with all premiums covered by us.
