Job Description

Product Marketing Lead positioning Shorthand’s SaaS publishing platform for Australian and New Zealand markets. Driving messaging, launches, sales enablement, and customer-informed growth strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Shape Shorthand’s positioning, segmentation, and core value propositions
  • Develop understanding of buyers, users, market, and competitive landscape and codify insights
  • Inform pricing, packaging, and monetisation decisions
  • Define use cases, messaging frameworks, and proof points for product-led and sales-assisted growth
  • Work with customers to understand and compile the value of Shorthand into reusable assets
  • Strengthen deal narratives, objection handling, and sales confidence with Sales
  • Produce sales enablement materials, including decks, one-pagers, objection-handling tools, and competitive positioning materials
  • Lead product and feature launches end-to-end, including strategy, KPIs, narrative, and go-to-market execution
  • Ensure consistent messaging across website copy, sales materials, lifecycle communications, and in-product touchpoints
  • Collaborate with Product and Design on framing, naming, and introducing features
  • Oversee creation and optimisation of product pages
  • Feed market insight and customer feedback into product strategy and roadmap discussions
  • Report to the VP of Growth & Marketing and collaborate with the CEO, Sales, Marketing, and Product leadership

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, journalism, communications, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • Ideally 8+ years of experience in product marketing or a closely related role
  • Preferably experience in B2B SaaS or technology
  • Proven track record shaping positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy
  • Experience influencing pricing, packaging, or monetisation decisions preferred but not essential
  • Success partnering with leadership and Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to influence product, pricing, and GTM decisions
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex product concepts into clear, buyer-focused messaging
  • Strong experience producing or overseeing sales enablement materials that support revenue outcomes
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Passion for visual storytelling and communicating product value on the web
  • Exceptional attention to detail
