Job Description
Sales Account Executive growing client accounts for Liquidity Services’ surplus-asset B2B marketplace. Managing acquisition, onboarding, retention, forecasting, and strategic account plans.
Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed revenue and performance targets through the acquisition, growth, and retention of client accounts
- Build and manage a portfolio of client accounts by converting inbound leads into long-term client relationships
- Qualify inbound opportunities, assess business needs, and develop solutions aligned with client objectives
- Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships as the primary point of contact throughout the partnership
- Own client relationships including onboarding, training, and ongoing support to ensure growth and retention
- Manage pre- and post-sales experiences through collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Perform day-to-day administration of account activities, opportunities, pipeline updates, and forecasting in business and CRM systems
- Lead and actively participate in client meetings
- Create and execute strategic account plans supporting client goals and business objectives
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; major in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field strongly preferred
- 3+ years of experience in a quota-carrying sales, account management, or client success role responsible for acquiring, growing, and retaining client relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills for successful business interactions across leadership styles, personalities, and career levels
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Highly motivated, disciplined, reliable, autonomous, and enthusiastic about achieving goals
- Ability to work effectively in time-sensitive situations while maintaining high client service standards
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously
- Sound judgment and decision-making competencies
- Candidates located in the Eastern Time Zone strongly preferred
- Regular business hours aligned with the Eastern Time Zone and consistent daytime availability
- Dedicated, private workspace with reliable high-speed internet and cell phone service
- Professional work environment suitable for client interactions, virtual meetings, and focused work with minimal distractions
