Job Description

Senior Account Executive driving strategic sales and key relationships for Brown & Brown’s student health insurance business. Serving colleges and universities through consultative selling, contracts, and market growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market share and meet revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with university administrators, student affairs leaders, and benefits managers.
  • Understand client needs and provide tailored insurance solutions aligned with institutional goals and student wellness priorities.
  • Lead contract discussions, renewals, and pricing strategies with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor regulatory changes, competitive landscape, and emerging trends in student health insurance.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, marketing, compliance, and customer service teams for client onboarding and satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline development, and revenue forecasts using sales tools.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company business and protect sensitive PII/PHI information.
  • Securely manage AHP information systems, protect the AHP-provided laptop, and report information security concerns.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of ACA compliance, waiver processes, and student health plan structures.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • Experience working with self-funded and fully insured student health plans. (preferred)
  • Familiarity with university procurement processes and RFP responses. (preferred)
  • Existing relationships within the higher education sector. (preferred)
  • Familiarity with student health portals, waiver systems, and enrollment platforms. (preferred)
  • Must comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies, and applicable corporate and departmental policies.
  • Must comply with AHP’s Cybersecurity policies and practices, including annual information security attestation and training.
